The most unpleasant experience with rent a car in my life. I made booking in advance with pre-payment of full amount before arrival. I successfully done check-in online and was ready to start journey. After providing of documents I heard - we are not going to provide you a car, lady couldn’t speak English just saying - I don’t like your driving license, they should be international. As my license is International and recognize in EU, it was no reason for rejection. I asked my money back, but they said do it online. I spend few weeks to get it back (it was big mass in communication and understanding who is responsible for refund in this big but useless organization). I definitely do not recommend to use this company to anyone

We dropped off our hire car and were let down by the RAC who were supposed to book us a taxi, which they didn't. We could not get another taxi, however a young lady from Hertz took us to the ferry which we caught with 5 minutes to spare, I am so grateful for her kindness ❤️ and thank her so much.

Great service for a car drop off and they kindly arranged a taxi for us to the ferry port. The car was a small Fiat500, however it was great fun to drive and spotlessly clean and new. Highly recommended.

Absolutely disgusting they tried to charge us €750 euros deposit to hire a car on top of the money we had already paid for hire we was aware that there was a deposit of €300 euros so when the lady pointed to the card reader and said that we had to pay 750, I told her we wasn’t paying that as on the website it shows a €300 deposit she then changed the price but I had to show her that it says €300 online before she changed it.

We booked our car online for $250 for two weeks but when we arrived they made us pay $700 for the lowest insurance! They also put a $1600 hold on my account without letting me know. I will never use Hertz again.
